Film screening of 'Urban Orchard' in Altona - November
Ground to Ground. Coffee grounds are great for the garden. This program explicitly identifies cafes willing to give away their grounds. Ongoing since February.
Fermenting Fridays! We come together monthly to experiment with fermented foods such as sourdough bread, sauerkraut, miso, ginger beer, fetta cheese etc. - since February.

A presence at Laverton Festival (November - giving away lemons), Newport Folk Festival (July- giving away organic fruit & all day kids activities) and the Altona Beach Festival (March- giving away herb seedlings).
Community composting - 11 cafes involved in Ground to Ground (from February) and piloted Compost Mates at Famous Blue Raincoat cafe in South Kingsville (from September).
A presence at the Permaculture Melbourne conference, the Beyond Zero Emissions talk in Newport and the library's screening of David Suzuki's Force of Nature (all October)
